Chris is one of our 3 District Councillors in the Worth Valley. He is also a Keighley Town Councillor.  Chris lives in Oxenhope on a farm where he rears cattle, sheep, chickens. Chris is also a major contributor to and is involved with Keighley's Annual Agricultural Show based at Marley on the 1st Saturday of September each year. 

Chris, as well as being well known in the Worth Valley, is also a well known figure across Keighley West; where he owns and runs his highly regarded Butcher's shop - supplying good quality, locally sourced beef, as well as chicken, sausages, and a range of other products. Chris is married to Linda, who oversees the bakery side of C & L Herd's, making a vast quantity of popular pies and pastries every day.    

Chris is Keighley through and through, having grown up in Oxenhope and began to work after school as a butcher's boy; working his way up to becoming the Butcher. Chris has three children.
