The Conservatives on Bradford Council have joined in tributes following the death of Prince Philip, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

Councillor Rebecca Poulsen, Leader of the Conservative Group said, “My Conservative Group colleagues and I are saddened to hear of the death of Prince Philip, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and our condolences go to The Queen and her family. 

His unwavering support for his wife Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for over 70 years have been a credit to him and he has served our country and the Commonwealth with extraordinary commitment and dedication.  Our thoughts go out to his family at this sad time.” 

In addition to this the Keighley and Ilkley Conservative Association would like to pay its respects to Prince Philip who was a dedicated public servant who served our country with distinction.

The association has also suspended campaigning for the delayed 2020 local elections until Tuesday the 13th April in response to the death of Prince Philip.
